F1 in Monaco, Arese, Turin and Gland

Friday 2007-05-18:

Started from Sweden at 14:00. We got stuck in a queue south of Kassel. Stoped at the first hotel when we got free.

Saturday 2007-05-19:

Drove on and reached Gland at 15:30 and bought coffee at the golfclub. Then we walked around Michael Schumachers house. It wasn’t finished and it looked lika a construction site. Pictures

Sunday 2007-05-20:

Drove past the stable whereCorinna Schumacher has her horse. There was a letter to ”Mr & Mrs Schumacher” in the pot at the gate. Pictures

Then we went by the fotballgame with FC Echichens (3:rd league in Switserland). Michael did not play because of a kneeinjury. They lost 2-4. Pictures

Then we drove to Turin.

Monday 2007-05-21:

We drove to Pininfarina and visited their showroom. Pictures

Then we went to the old Fiat-factory (Lingotto). Today it is congresshalls, hotel and a shoppingmall. With help from the hotel we got to visit the roof where Fiat had their testingtrack. It was in the movie ”The Italian job” (1969). Bilder

Then we went around Lingotto and central Turin. We also went to Palavela that was rebuilt to a icehockey-arena for the Olympics (also in the movie). Pictures

Tuesday 2007-05-22:

We tried to visit the new Fiat-factory but they did not have a museum. We could only visit the center for new cars. Pictures

Then we wnt to northern Turin.

Wednesday 2007-05-23:

We drove to the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese, unfortunately at a bad time and we had to run through it. Pictures

We did also visit Zagato and there we got to see some nice cars (but not take pictures). Some of the cars we got to see was: Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Zagato – Lamborghini Zagato Raptor – Bugatti EB 110 – Spyker C12 Zagato – Lotus Esprit V8.

Then we went to Ventimiglia.

Thurrsday 2007-05-24:

Went by train to Monaco where we sat near the casino and watched the training for Formel Renault, F1, GP2 and Porsche supercup. Pictures

Friday 2007-05-25:

Went by train to Monaco where we sat at the swimmingpool-area and watched training for GP2 and Porsche supercup. And the qualify for GP2. Then we went for a walk in the harbour and a bit of the track. Pictures

Saturday 2007-05-26:

Went by train to Monaco where we watched the training for F1 and qualify for Formel Renault and F1. Then there was the GP2-race. Pictures

When we got back we took a walk in Ventimiglia and through the old town. Pictures

Sunday 2007-05-27:

Went to Monaco and sat at Tabac and watched the race for Formel Renault, Porsche supercup and F1. Pictures

It was smooth to take the train back to Ventimiglia anfd we left there at 17:00. Spent the night in San Bernadino.

Monday 2007-05-28:

It rained almost the whole way through Germany so it took some more time than expected. We came home at 23:00.

We drove about 4000 km
